CodeUp Virtual Blockchain Summit 2022.
Planning for an event most times is fun to me but it usually comes with some level of pressure and tension in the course of trying to make the event to be successful, of which “CodeUp Virtual Blockchain Summit 2022” was not left out, after the several weeks of planning and strategizing as well as delegating tasks to team members. The “CodeUp Virtual Blockchain Summit 2022” was a 2 days event that was held on 25th-26th of March 2022.
Day 1of the summit started by 11:00 (GMT+1) with key note address be given by Chris Cherian, CEO of Gatherly, USA and was followed by Ronald Nyamukuwa, CEO of Ronnex Ishalt in Zimbabwe who gave a presentation on “Introduction to Web 3.0” via the Gatherly platform for virtual events. These activities of Day 1 was anchored by Mr Onose Ogaga, the Convener. It is key to note that we encountered several challenges using the Gatherly platform as most of the speakers were new to it and thus could not navigate through it for proper presentation of their slides. Also participants could not navigate it as well. This led to moving the virtual platform from Gatherly to Zoom for the next day of which day 1 ended at 13:45 (GMT+1) with 21 persons in attendance.
Day 2 started by 11:05 (GMT+1) with Gino Osahon speaking on “A Primer on Blockchain and RSK”, thereafter Victory Emueje talked on “How to integrate Blockchain in Your Website”, followed by Deborah Enyone Oni who talk about “Blockchain: An Overview of NFT”, and Godwin Mfon that spoke on “Smart Contract”, with Edegware Gift teaching a practical session on “How to Build Personal Wallets”. The summit ended by 16:30 (GMT+1).
It is key to note that this summit was successful by the sponsorship and kind support from some corporate brands, thus we use this opportunity to specially thank Linode for always been there for us, we deeply appreciate Balsamiq and Gatherly, others are WittyHub, and CodeUp Technologies. Also I will use this channel to salute my team members in person of Mrs Ejiro Adeniyi and Miss Alisha Oveto. We had a total number of 40 attendees for the Day 1 and Day 2 events.
