The week of the event saw a lot of behind the scene activities towards making the event to succeed. These include arranging the venue and fixing all technical equipment, thereafter the official t-shirt was unveiled for use.

The official launch of “Taking Zcash To Schools” through its maiden event at WittyHub, #28 Jakpa road, Effurun, Delta state, Nigeria was a very big success. The registration desk was opened before 11:00am where attendees registered before entering the venue but however due to some unforeseen challenges the event started a bit late, at about 12 noon on the said date. The event program began with introduction of guests and participants.

Thereafter the mission of the Zcash Foundation was read and explained to the audience, which followed with a video played to the audience from the ZecHub and titled Introduction to Zcash. Thereafter the participants were asked to comment and contribute towards knowledge sharing and this was very interactive as some developers present added more light on possible used cases that will fit into financial privacy infrastructure for public good. Also, tech hubs representatives gave their suggestions on how Zcash can be advanced to hubs and other web3 training institutions.

Announcement was made for participants to download the Zingo wallet app during the event and we had over 7 downloads of the Zingo wallet app.

Swags t-shirts were giving out to some persons that came early & recharge cards were gifted out to other persons that downloaded the Zcash Zingo mobile wallet app on their phones. The event was a huge success as we had 30 persons in attendance and representatives from WittyHub in Effurun, Kids Code Hub, Hamplus Hub in Abraka and Ogba Educational Clinic in Effurun were fully present. Refreshment was served to all attendees and group photo was taking to end the event activities.

At this point I want to appreciate the Zcash Nigeria Ambassador for the cash support, as well as the management of WittyHub for mobilizing their developers community and other hubs to attend the event. Hubs mention above in attendance are also duly acknowledged. Here are some photos from the event. Thank you.
